At the first street, south parallel to the square of Gaios (where until recently was the Del ‘Pirata restaurant for those who are familiar with the island) in a much calmer environment and with a much more intimate feeling from that of the square, just a few meters away from the sea, there is a restaurant where you will find a very different concept from the conventional perception prevailing in the other restaurants, the awesome La Vista.
The La Vista is a new restaurant, run by young people, who nonetheless already have more than a decade of work experience “on their backs” in the culinary industry, which makes them knowledgeable and good at what they do. At the same time they have a fresh perspective in the method of operating, deviating from the classical way of doing things, the result of which reflects on the outcome and it is guaranteed that you will greatly appreciate it.
The concept applied in their cuisine and their service is that of the friendly approach of the customer and is far from the common notion that says that you must spend an arm and a leg when eating out if you want to have a good time and leave with a full stomach. At La Vista having ordered just some of their appetisers and salads you can have a great time and leave full and satisfied, without even needing to spend money on a main course.
The La Vista serves mainly seafood: Fresh fish of the day which vary depending on what will pull the catch every time and fresh mussels are always at the the restaurant’s menu. Generally the menu of the restaurant changes, so do not hesitate to ask the staff for new proposals and additions to the menu of the day.
Two of the most popular of the restaurant dishes are the La Vista salad (with lettuce, tomatoes, salmon, handmade yoghurt sauce) and pasta (with blue cheese, prosciutto, cream) and will definitely leave you satisfied thanks to their exceptional recipe.
Everyday there are different home made “mum’s” dishes (moussaka, lasagne, briam), there is always mixed grill, pasta, excellent handmade pies (for which they are particularly proud of at La Vista) and many more dishes that the courteous staff will always be happy to explain how and what they are made of, so don’t hesitate to ask! Finally, in La Vista you will find excellent draft beer and soft drinks to perfectly accompany your meals.
The shop offers free Wifi service so you can stay connected with the rest of the world.
