Emma Mellot - "Paxos, a Reminiscence" - Presentation of a new series of prints
Emmanuelle Mellot was our our artist resident in Paxos in July 2015 when she ran our first printmaking workshop. The series of six etchings below – “Paxos, a Reminiscence – Παξών Αναπόληση ” – were inspired by her stay on the island.
Emma captures details of Paxos architecture and nature that she has distilled into stylized and delicate iconic images that anyone familiar with the island will immediately recognize.
A blue box with six hand colored etchings numbered from 1 to 80 is on sale for 500 € until 20 July and is available at the Gaios gallery. The prints can also be bought individually for 120 € (150 € after 20 July). A wonderful souvenir for all Paxos lovers!
