Agia Paraskevi is the church of Zenempisatika, a village of seventeen families in the survey of 1885, which belonged to the district of Vellianitatika.
At the foot of its porch sits a stone cut with the year 1700, which puts it among the oldest dated churches on Paxos. The bell gable is a double arch carrying two bells, with an iron cross above. The large side door is framed in carved stone with a cornice. Inside there is a stone iconostasis, four windows, a latticed gallery and, on the right, the altar of Agia Paraskevi. A small graveyard lies behind the sanctuary.
Beside the church stood the Venetian house, decorated with carved architectural ornament, in which Ilias Zenempisis was born. He published Strofai eis tin Chion in 1881 and Kairos chamenos in 1888, wrote in Portuguese as well as Greek, and lived in Switzerland, Marseille and Lisbon, where he died around 1910.
Feast day: 26 July.
